Teacher Appreciation 2023
PTA December Newsletter
We hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving break with your families. December is a great time to reflect on this year and to look forward to a new start in 2024! The PTA wants to thank everyone who came to the Fleece and Thank You event last month! It was a wonderful to see so many smiles and helping hands. There were around 20 blankets made and donated to children in local hospitals. We are looking forward to skate night at Skate World this month. There will also be two other giving opportunities in December with Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams and the staff cookie exchange.
A note from the PTA president
Please make sure to check the lost and found table before the end of the year. everything that is not claimed will be donated when we leave for break!
Hamilton is in need of some extra hands during our lunches. If you have a few hours to spare a week and would like to help out please reach out to Reba McNally @ rmcnally@troy.k12.mi.us
We would love to see you at our next PTA meeting in January where we will be discussing events planned for the rest of the school year!
GO HAWKS!!!

Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams
Join us on Sunday,12/17 at 8 pm!
Each December, community members across Southeast Michigan visit the Beaumont Royal Oak campus at approximately 8 pm to shine flashlights. The purpose is to remind pediatric patients that they aren't alone and to wish them sweet dreams.
It is recommended that families carpool when possible and arrive early for parking. Don't forget your flashlights!
Holiday Cookie Staff Appreciation
The PTA is again supplying holiday cookies to staff to show appreciation. Participating families should bring in 2 to 3 dozen cookies to school by 12 pm on Monday, 12/18 in a disposable container with a copy of the recipe.
THE MAGIC OF LIGHTS
We are so excited to be hosting our first Magic of the Lights event on February 8th at 6 pm. To sign up to share about your family's culture, click the button below. A separate sign-up will come later for those who would like to come, but not host a table.
